Non-Legal Services Notice

Divide Amicably provides neutral, informational mediation-support services only. It is not a lawyer, not a law practice, not a court, and not a substitute for professional legal judgment. It is not intended to replace legal services. It is intended to act only as a neutral, non-binding guide for mediation. All content and outputs are for informational, educational, planning, discussion, and entertainment purposes only, and are not for legal reliance.

1. No attorney-client relationship

Using the platform does not create an attorney-client relationship, mediator-client privilege, work-product protection, or similar representation relationship with Divide Amicably.

2. No practice of law

The platform is intended to help couples organize information and explore fair, non-adversarial starting points. It is not intended to practice law, interpret law for a user's benefit, advise either spouse on what legal position to take, or replace legal services that should come from licensed counsel.

3. No reliance or professional advice

Users must not treat the platform, AI output, summaries, scenarios, prompts, checklists, or recommended next steps as legal, tax, financial, therapeutic, safety, or other professional advice. The platform does not decide rights, obligations, deadlines, support duties, custody positions, property classifications, tax consequences, filing strategy, whether to sign or waive anything, or whether a result is fair, optimal, stable, valid, enforceable, or court-ready.

4. No court-document preparation or filing service

The platform does not prepare pleadings, petitions, consent orders, judgments, or other filing-ready court documents for either spouse. Any summaries, scenarios, or draft-style outputs are for review and discussion only until independently reviewed and formalized through the proper legal process.

5. No responsibility for user decisions

Users remain responsible for the decisions they make, the information they submit, and whether they choose to rely on or ignore any platform output. The platform does not assume responsibility for negotiated outcomes, court outcomes, tax outcomes, factual omissions, hidden assets, user mistakes, or the enforceability of any agreement.

6. Guideline only

Any scenario, summary, or suggested split should be treated as a guideline based on the disclosed record, not as a final legal answer. Any settlement-stability or game-theory-inspired output is only a discussion aid and does not guarantee an optimal bargain, a true Nash equilibrium, Pareto efficiency, future cooperation, or the absence of later disputes. Independent legal review remains appropriate whenever the parties want binding documents or legal advice. The product is intended to guide a fairer mediation process, not to substitute for legal services.

7. With or without lawyers

Couples may use the platform with or without separate lawyers. If lawyers are used, they remain outside the platform as independent advisors or reviewers. The platform itself stays neutral between the parties.
